Dark and Day: Chimera

A Character done for *Jono-Wyer

They all turned around to see it.

The sky behind them, once filled with clear stars, was as black as death. Like a monster from a nightmare, the enormous beast had landed on the sharp mountain peaks that pierced the cracking ice around it. Its black mane spread around its lione head and rippled in the wind like flames. Tattered bat wings spread to cover the sky. Jagged horns lined its head, shoulders and back. Six black snakes splintered out of its tail and slithered along the shattered ice. Black fur cracked and teemed with white fire.

Jono couldn’t tell if it was organic or machine or both.
The three travelers were frozen with terror.
“The Chimera.” Alvin whispered.
