Eljin, of the White Guard

On the second terrace, Jono scrambled without a weapon. The fel-panther growled, toying with its prey. Its claws cut at the ground. The beast bore its teeth and charged. The snarling mouth was inches from Jono’s face when panther froze. Blue sparks shot into the air and a blue cut of fire tore through the panther’s skull.

The dark shadow matter dissipated to reveal the blond knight and a glowing blue gauntlet.

“I am Eljin of the White Guard.”

The human man stood triumphant. He wore the silver and white armor and tunic of the many other knights. His long blond hair unfurled in the gentle breeze as he reached out his hand.

“You can trust me.”
