“At first there was nothing but shadow.

Then there was movement beneath the dark, and slowly a red figure stepped out of the oily carriage door. Even under the blue tinted sky, this red did not seem to bend into purple. Boldly, it refused to shift from its regal crimson.

Red was the color of her gown.

It was thick and soft with a plush red fur collar. The wide and low neckline revealed pale ivory skin that glistened against the dull town. Her flowing locks of stark black hair seemed held behind her as she moved from shadow and into the Polari street. Upon her head rested a black crown and from it a veil, ornate in its beauty and terror, covered her eyes.”

The Empress of Eies rules the Dark End of Earth from the Crown Castle above the city, Eies. She is both feared and respected across the globe, but only she knows the secrets that hide in the Dark…
