Now is your chance to win both published books in the Dark & Day series!

Step 1. Simple go to the Dark & Day Facebook page [link]

Step 2. Add your comment on the Wall with what it is about Dark & Day that interests you!
Is it the epic fantasy v. scifi style? Like the YA genre? A particular character? (like Jono? Commander Grail? the Sage of Ages?) or a particular art work? (Tyler Edlin’s City of Eies? Andrew Hou’s Withering Mark cover? Robert Kim’s Jono at Al Jebra? Lokman Lam’s Grown up Keiko?)

Step 3. Look for a winner on the Dark & Day Facebook page!

Is he named after the real roman Marcus Agrippa?
He looks amazing as well!

He is! :) I listened to the History of Rome podcast, and love the part about Agripa & Octavian/Augustus - I wanted to have a character that symbolized the heroism and glory of anicent Rome, as well as a reference to history (which is a big theme in the Dark & Day series). [link]

That's really awesome! I love the whole concept! When I think of Agrippa I can't help but think of him from the HBO show as well, haha. His character was definitely a great warrior with a fantastic background.
Have you used the names of Ptolemy and Alexander yet? Ptolemy in reference along with Alexander the Great? :D

Hmmm I do think Ptolemy is a great name! I'll have to plan that into the series. I like Alexander, but its become a bit normal sounding. I do have a character named Fourier (after the mathmetician).

Haha, awesome! I agree, Alexander is a bit normal, but you could make his last name something extremely interesting.
Fourier? That's very cool! How did you come to decide to use his name?
What about Leonardo, Sigmund, Clovis(the first king of France), Bonaparte, or even Brutus?
Haha, sorry about all the names. I'm just a total history buff. :)

I asked my friend (who is a math & physics professor) for a name of a cool but kind of obscure famous mathmatician :P I use Brutus and Cassius as names for spikehounds! I do like Sigmund and Clovis! Now who could I use for them.... :)
