Lately been trying to do a bit more personal piece, been doing this style lately for work concept,etc but most stuff can't be shown, so I thought to try it out on some personal pieces, well kinda, this was for this week's CA.org Character design activity. The topic was Saladin~

"Ṣalāḥ ad-Dīn - known in the west much more often as "Saladin". Military Commander, Conqueror, and ultimately a Sultan, he trounced the Franks quite a few times during the crusades!"

He's one of my favorite military figures because, DANG IT, he was brilliant and pretty honorable. Heck, he and RICHARD THE FREAKIN' LIONHEART had rather nice things to say to each other. Richard said Saladin was the greatest leader in the Islamic world and, in return, Saladin said that there was no Christian lord more honorable than Richard.

And people say that Christians and Muslims can't be friends...

It is an excellent work, this one, love it and love it more because is based in an interesting historic warlord from crusades, who taught radical Christians that they don't simply own Jerusalem.
