I've been trying to get a bit more involve with personal art lately, I've been so busy with work that I haven't really had much time to surf the art sites for all the juicy arts out there, so I'm going to try to spend more time lurking around in the online art community.
I've been so behind with the DA notes/email and sorry for anyone if I didn't reply, I'm going to go thru them this week and try to reply to most of the unanswered notes
1) can you draw *fill in the blank*, but I can't pay, but i'll give you a big % when it goes out and gets really big, etc.
I really want to help if I can , and I'm serious, but I literally have ZERO free time lately, and I need to work so I can feed my dog Jingo.
2) Can I use your artwork for my project, etc?
I think it's really nice that you ask for commission unlike a lot of people that just decides to use it without asking
Anyways, there goes my boring journal haha, I promise I'll update with something a bit more informative soon. There're actually tonnes of things happening in my life that it'll just take too long to type, they're mostly all good so yay!
Btw for anyone that actually reads this... can anyone recommend any really nice/simple artist website layout? I really need to update my personal website, and any help would be good to point me in a good direction! I'm so bad with these design type stuff so I need something easy and simple. Thanks in advance!!!!

I set up a blog as well, pretty easy.
As it happens I just went to your website and it did cross my mind that your work would be viewed a lot easier as a picture slideshow instead of popping up as separate tabs.
if you want to see what i did with my portfolio site its below, weebly also has a list of websites as examples to see what you can do,

As for a website design there are a couple of easy ones to do, wordpress has already been recommended but there's also SquareSpace it has a module system kinda like DA for your page. Also there's always google sites you can do for free, and you can even tie it to a domain name you want too assuming you have one (they are a couple bucks a year).
If you ever need any help with techie stuff feel free to shoot me a note/email/skype
Wordpress is a pretty simple and really flexible direction to explore. You can get some pretty clean layouts in their rather sizeable collection and alter (or not) as you see fit. Mine is hosted by wordpress ([link]) and there are layouts similar to Danny Gardner's, ([link]) and Noah Bradley's, as has been linked above, as well.
Look forward to hearing about the recent work you've been putting in!
Maybe this is a what "not" to use post... haha!
However, I am using WIX.com and you can check out my site here [link] for an example my crappy forever "still under construction" website.
So WIX starts off FREE! If you like adds on your web site... which is lame... so then you go Pro to get rid of the adds but for some odd reason the Tab Title still reads Wix.com before your Website Title... also lame...
I have to say that it is really simple and easy to make your website any way you like. I love it for that reason. I hate it because its Flash... but... they do offer an upgrade option to allow for mobile viewing... however... I don't know what that means... if it's Flash... its flash... and it still won't work on iPhone or iPads because they don't support Flash viewing though I have seen rumors on the web that Flash support is written in the stars so take that for what its worth. Maybe it will happen maybe it won't.
My final opinion is that for the $250 ish dollars that I spent on a 2 year run for the website... I am not satisfied only for the reason that its Flash and I am thinking about calling to get a partial refund or something like that and see if I can't go with WordPress like the last post mentioned. There are some good tutorials online that quickly walk you through setting up a WordPress website with whatever domain you purchase.
If you don't mind your website loading in Flash and maybe loading a bit on the slow side then I suppose this is the way to go.
Love your work!
Scott
